WELCOME to
TLTA’s
CERTIFICATION Home Page
Three years ago
the TLTA Board of Directors voted to create a professional certification
program in an effort to encourage title industry
professionals to move their careers forward and to help
employers in their search for qualified job candidates.
After much work by TLTA volunteers, that program will soon
become a reality. Complete eligibility requirements, application and fee
information will be available soon – but get a
step ahead now by checking out the 28 core
content areas that will be tested. See the outlines below.
What is
Professional
CERTIFICATION?
Certification is an optional designation you earn by passing
an examination, similar to designations offered in the real
estate industry such as the GRI or CCIM. Such designations
following your name will immediately identify you as a
highly motivated, experienced title person. A professional
career enhancement program designed with YOU in mind.
How does the TLTA
program work?
By meeting point
requirements based on continuing education or formal education, work experience and professional
participation (such as TLTA committee service, or authoring
articles), individuals will become eligible to take an
examination and with achievement of a passing exam score, earn a designation. No specific education courses
are required, however
TLTA seminars will help you get the knowledge you
need!
What are the
certification
designations?
The following
designations represent a measure of achievement in the title
insurance profession and provide a pathway for career
development in Texas. |

escrow/settlement area. Any individual in the industry meeting
