Institute is a two-day event designed for real estate attorneys, agency owners, and advanced title professionals. It remains the premier educational resource for our industry’s most difficult topics and tackles the current challenges that keep you up at night.

St. Mary’s University School of Law and TLTA sponsor the Institute to contribute to the continuing education of TLTA members and others.

Space is limited and is expected to sell out at hotels and seminars. There is no on-site registration.

Institute registration includes tuition, breakfast, and lunch on Thursday and Friday, a networking reception, and digital Institute course materials via a weblink (no flash drive). A printed 3-ring binder of the materials is available for advance purchase.

**If you are NOT attending the Institute and would like a hard copy of the materials, the course manual is available for purchase here. The printed materials for non-attendees is $250 total w/ tax. Commitment to Closing: Texas Title Insurance Review & Doc Prep
Offered on Wednesday, Dec 6, 2023, one day before the start of the Institute

You'll remember this program as Title Insurance & Doc Prep, but newly redesigned, Commitment to Closing is back with updated materials to addresses survey and title insurance questions frequently encountered by a party and their representative in connection with a transaction and closing. The speakers will cover title insurance due diligence, how to assure the best coverage and rates. Moreover, what if the insured does have a defect in title or an encumbrance – how should it be handled? Finally, this course provides an overview and practice tips for preparation of legal documents to convey title, release encumbrances and cure title issues.

Cancellation/Substitution Policy

Cancellations made before Wednesday, November 1, 2023 will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between Wednesday, November 1 and Monday November 20 will be refunded with a $50 cancellation fee deducted.

Cancellations made after Monday, November 20, 2023, will be transferred to the On Demand Course for Institute. The difference between the registration fee and the On Demand Course fee will be refunded.  

If TLTA must cancel the event, TLTA will fully refund registrations but will not be responsible for any indirect, special, or consequential damages (including transportation, lodging, and meal costs) sustained by the registrant.
