It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Jack Rattikin Jr., former TLTA President (1974-1975), 1964 TLTA Title Person of the Year, Honorary TLTA Member, and past American Land Title Association (ALTA) President (1984-1985). Jack passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and service to the title industry that will be remembered for generations. William Jackson “Jack” Rattikin Jr.
Jack was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Texas, where his dedication to his family, friends, and the title industry created a lasting impact. A key figure in a multi-generational legacy, Jack followed in the footsteps of his father, Jack Rattikin Sr., who founded Rattikin Title in 1944, assuming leadership of the family business as president and CEO of Rattikin Title from 1969 to 2004 and continuing to serve as chairman of the board.
“Jack was a remarkable leader whose influence shaped not just TLTA, but the entire title industry,” said Leslie Midgley, CEO and Executive Vice President of TLTA. “Jack’s leadership and dedication to the title industry were second to none, he set the bar high for all of us and left a profound impact on everyone who had the honor of working with him. His wisdom, generosity, and friendship will be deeply missed by his TLTA family.”
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jack’s family and friends during this time of loss.
