Dallas Title Executive Receives President’s Award from Statewide Trade Association

AUSTIN – The Texas Land Title Association (TLTA), one of the state’s oldest trade associations, awarded Peter Graf, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Republic Title of Texas, the prestigious James H. Garst President’s Award during TLTA’s Annual Conference and Business Meeting in Lost Pines, Texas.

The James H. Garst President’s Award recognizes the contributions of individuals who provide outstanding service during a TLTA president’s year in office. This year, TLTA President John Martin of El Paso presented this special award to Graf for his critical role as TLTA’s Regulatory Committee chair.

“I’m grateful to Peter for the substantial time and expertise he shared during my year in office and during an important year for our industry,” said John Martin, outgoing president of TLTA. “I am proud to honor him, his work and his strong commitment to our industry’s future.”

Graf serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Republic Title of Texas. He also serves as Regional Director of National Commercial Services for First American Title Insurance Company. Graf is licensed to practice law in Texas and Michigan and appear before the U.S. District Court for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Court of International Trade. He has served as underwriting and claims counsel for several national title underwriters and large title agencies.

Graf’s volunteer service to TLTA stretches back more than a decade. He serves as a Local Legislative Liaison helping our industry communicate with the Texas Legislature, chairs TLTA’s regulatory committee, and serves on the legislative and federal issues committees.
