The Curative Conundrum: Solving Title Challenges with Precision 
 
The goal of this course is for title insurance professionals to gain an understanding of common curative requirements – primarily from a settlement or title agent perspective: Why are they on the Commitment? What do we do about them?

Upon completion of the course, attendees should 

1. Have a general understanding of why a requirement is made.
2. Understand that “problems” with the chain of title may cause the current title to be called into question.
3. Be aware of the different between community and separate property.
4. Have an understanding of nonmaterial and material corrections.
5. Be aware of the of when using the Master Indemnity and what it means to “insure around.”
6. Have a better understanding of risks involved with Affidavit of Heirships.
7. Have an understanding of different types of probates.
8. Han an understanding of how Abstract of Judgments affect title.
