TLTA Perspectives: Does 'Flex Time' Work in the Title Industry?

TLTA's Perspectives series is designed to help shed light on generational differences in the workplace by having a young title professional and a seasoned title professional give their viewpoints on different workplace topics.

Last time, two title professionals tackled the Perspectives question: How do you balance your work and home life? This month, co-authors Suzette Switzer Hinds and Ashley Cook with Ashley L. Cook, P.C., along with Monica Middleton, President, Capital Title of Texas in Austin, give their perspectives on the important question: Does 'teleworking' or 'flex time' work in the title industry? TLTA Members Support Potter County Courthouse Rededication

Circle A Title Company recently participated in the rededication of the Potter County Courthouse in Amarillo. Since 2006, TLTA has partnered with the Texas Historical Commission to sponsor the Texas Courthouse Stewardship Initiative, a training and technical program designed to promote the ongoing, regular maintenance of Texas’ historic county courthouses. The stewardship program consists of site visits by THC architects, annual training workshops for county judges and maintenance workers to address issues like inspecting the exterior, identifying mechanical malfunctions and budgeting for maintenance. Our industry has a long and symbolic relationship with the county courthouses, so it's natural for our members to support this endeavor.
