TLTA Perspectives: What Do You Wish You Had Known When You Started in the Title Industry?

TLTA's Perspectives series is designed to help shed light on generational differences in the workplace by having a young title professional and a seasoned title professional give their viewpoints on different workplace topics.

Jocelyn Sexton Joins TLTA as Director of Programs, Products & Services 

TLTA is pleased to announce that Jocelyn Sexton joined the staff in January as Director of Programs, Products & Services. In this new position, she will have responsibility for several key TLTA programming areas, including membership, education, communications and marketing.

Jocelyn previously served as the communications coordinator for the Texas Department of Transportation, and prior to that, she worked as a press secretary and assignments editor for the Texas Comptroller's Office. A native of Shiner, Texas, she received her undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of North Texas. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree through the University of Texas McCombs School of Business Executive MBA program. Jocelyn and her husband, Scott, are parents to their three-year son, Eli.

TLTA Past President Sworn in as District Judge in New Braunfels

TLTA Past President and former New Braunfels Mayor Bruce Boyer was recently sworn in as judge for the 22nd Judicial District. The district covers Comal, Hays, and Caldwell counties, and across all three counties. Boyer founded Land-Tex Title, later known as AmeriPoint Title New Braunfels. In November, Plano-based Capital Title acquired AmeriPoint. Boyer served as President of TLTA in 2006-07.
