How to Locate Title Insurance Agents Who Write Policies for Specific Underwriters

Some membership directory guests are also interested in finding agents who write policies for specific title insurance underwriters. While this membership directory provided that information in the past, we found that underwriters frequently change which agents are approved to write their policies and our information was not always the most up to date. 

For the most reliable information on which agents write policies for a specific underwriter, we highly recommend this resource from the Texas Department of Insurance:

Step 1: Start here on TDI’s site
https://appscenter.tdi.texas.gov/tdireports/p/externalReports

Step 2: Click the following option in the menu on the left

• Agent Licensing - Escrow Officers and Title Agencies

Step 3: Click the following dropdown option underneath “Agent Licensing” from Step 2

• Underwriter report: active title agents by counties

Step 4: Click “Run Report” and search for the county in which you want to do business. You will find agents licensed in that county along with the underwriters for whom they write policies
